The Walks
On the walks we explore wetlands, beaches and forests in and around the Mimosa Rocks National Park .
How have climate, millions of years of geological activity and humans shaped our coast?
We discover how a tree drowns in a drought, where to find fascinating fossils and exquisite rock formations. The walks are for the non-scientist and for the curious of mind.
Along the way we may encounter some of the local wildlife and wonder at the beauty of the native flowers.
During October and November the whales migrate down the coast to their summer homes in the Antarctic. The headlands along the walking track offer some of the best vantage points for on shore whale watching.
